Operating the fl ow switch:
The fl ow switch cannot be adjusted or switched,
it is fully automatic. There are only 3 LEDs which
indicate its operating status.
The following operating statuses are indica-
ted:
Green and yellow are lit:
The pump is in operation and starts up immedia-
tely; a consumer for drawing off transport fl uid is
open.
Green and red are lit:
1. The pump is building up pressure (e.g. a
water tap is closed) and then switches off au-
tomatically.
2. The pump is running dry without transport
fl uid. The fl ow switch will make 3 attempts to
eliminate the dry running before the dry run-
ning guard fi nally trips.
Green is lit, red is fl ashing:
The dry running guard has tripped; it is no longer
possible to draw in the transport fl uid. Use the
pump's operating manual to fi nd the cause of the
fault (e.g. a leaking intake line) and rectify it. Then
restart the pump by pressing the Reset button on
the fl ow switch.

8. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts

free. In order to ensure a long service life, howe-
ver, we recommend that you regularly check and
care for the product.
Danger!
The equipment must be disconnected from the
power supply (pull the power plug) prior to perfor-
ming any maintenance.
8.1 Servicing
If the equipment becomes clogged, connect
the discharge line to the water line and dis-
connect the suction hose. Open the water
line. Switch on the equipment several times
for approx. two seconds. This should resolve
the majority of clog-related problems.
There are no parts inside the equipment
which require additional maintenance.
8.2 Cleaning the coarse fi lter insert
Clean the coarse filter insert at regular inter-
vals, and replace it if necessary.
Remove the coarse filter screw and coarse
filter together with the non-return valve.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or petrol
to clean the coarse filter and the non-return
valve.
Clean the coarse filter and the non-return val-

of stubborn dirt, first clean with soapy water,
then rinse with clear water and air-dry.
Assemble in reverse order.
