9. Put the tie down strap (E) through the D-rings (F), (Figure 2).

10. Loop the tie down strap between the D-rings (G) (Figure 2). Pull the tie down strap until secure (Figure 3).

11. Insert the loose end of the tie down strap behind the Fowler.
12. Repeat steps 8 to 10 for the other tie down strap.
13. Check that all the tie down straps are secure.
14. Replace the headboard and footboard that were removed in step 4.
15. Place linens on the support surface per hospital protocols.
