Connect the provided USB cable to your computer and the USB-C 3.1 port on the enclosure.
2)
Optional: Connect the USB-A to Micro-B cable to the POWER IN port and a wall charger.
3)
Wait until the enclosure is recognized by the computer and check to see if the STATUS LED is
lit.
4)
Existing HDD/SSDs that already contain data will appear automatically through your comput-
er's file management system. New HDD/SSDs must be initialized and formatted before use.
Recently erased HDD/SSDs, or HDD/SSDs that contain unrecognized filesystems, must be
formatted before use. See pages 5-7 for instructions. NOTE: Initialization and formatting
will erase all existing files on the drive. Back up any files before performing this operation.
USB-C host connector
Important Notes:
Do not block the air vents or place anything on top of the enclosure to prevent overheating.
Always Safely Remove or Eject the enclosure before disconnecting the cable.
SSD/HDD drives up to 9.5mm are supported.
USB-A or USB-C 3.1 bus power will support most SSD/HDD drives. Some drives may require
more power, and may not function properly on bus power alone. If this occurs, connect the
included USB-A to Micro-B charging cable to the POWER IN port and a wall charger.
