Operating Instructions for the MX 360

2/4 channel stereo mixer with start/mute function, Talkover and fully adjustable mic signal.
Congratulations on purchasing a Vivanco product. Our high quality products are guaranteed for a long life. Prior to
use we suggest that you carefully read all the instructions.

Cautions
1. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not open the unit. There are no user replaceable parts inside. Please
refer servicing to a qualified service technician .
2. Do not expose this unit to direct sunlight or to a heat source such as a radiator or a stove.
3. This unit should be cleaned only with a damp cloth. Avoid solvents or other cleaning detergents.
4. Do not expose this unit to rain or moisture.
Connections
1. Before plugging in the power cord, make sure that the POWER (1) switch is in the off position. The POWER LED
(2) will be off.
2. Plug the power cord in the jack 15V/AC (15) in the rear panel of your mixer. Plug now the mains plug in the socket
(230 V/50 Hz).
3. The MX 360 is supplied with 2 sets of output jacks. The AMP jacks (16) are used to connect to your main amplifier.
The REC jack (17) can be used to connect the mixer to the record input of your recorder enabling you to record
your mix.
4. The DJ MIC (3) input found on the front panel accepts a microphone with 6, 35 mm connector.
5. On the rear panel are 2 stereo PH or Phono (19, 21) inputs and 2 stereo LINE or LN inputs (18, 20). The phono
inputs will accept only turntables with a magnetic cartridge. A ground screw GND (22) for you to ground your
turntables is located on the rear panel. The stereo line inputs LN/Line (18, 20) will accept any line level input such
as a CD-/MD-Player, a cassette player and/or a video player.
6. Headphones can be plugged into the front panel mounted Phones (4) jack (6, 35 mm).
Operation
1. Power on: Once you have connected your mixer to the socket, press the POWER switch (1). The power will turn
on and the POWER LED (2) will glow RED.
2. Channel 1: Switch (5) allows you to select either the PHONO (21) or the LINE (20) input. The channel slide CH1
(6) controls the output level of this channel.
3. Channel 2: Switch (7) allows you to select either the PHONO (19) or the LINE (18) input. The channel slide CH2
(8) controls the output level of this channel.
4. Crossfader: The CROSSFADER (9) allows the mixing of one source into another. The left side of the
CROSSFADER (9) is channel 1 and the right side is channel 2. The Crossfader (9) in your unit is removable and
if the need arises can be easely replaced. Just follow these instructions:
a) Unscrew the outside Fader Plate Screws (A). Do not touch the inside screws (B).
b) Carefully lift the fader (9) and unplug the cable.
