cutting tools may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a "live" wire will
make exposed metal parts of the tool "live" and shock the operator.
2) Use proper safety equipment. Wear safety glasses for eye protection, wear hearing
protection, and wear a protective mask to minimize breathing in the fine dust created while
sanding.
3) Clamp or secure work-piece when sanding.Clamping the work-piece prevents it from
being ejected from under the sander and leaves both hands to control the tool.
4) Always disconnect the plug from the power supply before changing sanding belts.

WARNING: Use of this tool can generate and disburse dust or other airborne
particles. Use special precautions when sanding chemically pressure treated
lumber, paint that may be lead based, or any other material that may contain
carcinogens. Always operate tool in a well ventilated area and provide for proper
dust removal and collection.
6) Always maintain a firm grip on the belt sander handles with both hands to prevent
loss of control.
7) Make sure the power switch is not "ON" before you plug the tool in. Accidental start-
ups could cause injury.
