Compressed air connection / Using for the first time
The Connection to the compressed air system is via a compressed air hose with a rapid action coupling. Please
note the following points.
• The compressor must be sufficiently powerful.
• A pressure drop of more than 0,5 bar per work stroke will cause a reduction in power and potential malfunction
of the tool.
• Suitable measures should be taken to ensure that the maximum permissible operating pressure of 8,3 bar is not
exceeded, e.g. by pressure reducer fitted in the compressed air line with downstream or fitted safety valve.
• A compressed air oiler is used for automatic lubrication of the tool. Use only special acid-free oil, e.g. com-
pressed air oil (order no. PC0102).
Take the following steps when using for the first time:
Warning
The PSD20 EL/24 EL hog ring tool has a sequence control system. When the compressed air supply is
connected of re-established after a loss of pressure, the control system is set in the starting position.
A complete sequence of movements can then take place (jaws close and open).
1. Remove all of the clips from the magazine.
2. Connect the hog ring tool to the compressed air supply.
3. Set the operating pressure to approximately 6 bar.
4. Check the operation of the tool by pulling the trigger.
