5. The harness straps must be even with or just
above the shoulders

6. Make sure straps are flat and snug against
child's shoulders and thighs.
You should not be able to pinch
the harness
straps. A snug strap should not allow any slack.
It lies in a relatively straight line without sagging.
It does not press on the child's flesh or push the
child's body into an unnatural position.
CHECK that child's ears are BELOW top of head
support. If tops of ears are above top of head
support, child is too large for harnessed use.
With the chest clip at arm pit level, be sure the
harness covers are all the way down to the chest
clip as shown in
. CHECK that long side of
harness covers are BEHIND chest clip.
