When used very frequently, we recommend that the nebuliser be replaced every 6 months (or
earlier if it becomes clogged), in order to guarantee an adequate hygienic level and the maximum
therapeutic effect.
Unit and exterior of the tube
To clean use only a damp cloth and an antibacterial detergent (non-abrasive and solvent free).
3. AIR FILTERING
The unit is equipped with an air filter (4) which should be replaced when dirty
or when its colour changes. Do not wash or re-use the used filter. The filter
must be regularly replaced to help ensure efficient compressor performance.
The filter should be regularly checked. For spare filters contact your dealer or
an authorised service centre.
To replace the filter:
Lift the lid and remove the filter using a screwdriver (see FIg. B). The filter is
designed to remain fixed in its housing.
Use only Flaem original accessories.
4. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Before using the unit for the first time, and periodically throughout its life, check the power
supply cord for any damage; if you detect any damage, do not plug it in. Take the unit
immediately to an authorised service centre or your dealer.
• Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
• Children and disabled persons should always use the unit under strict supervision of an adult who has
read this manual.
• Some of the components are small enough to be swallowed by children; therefore, keep the unit out
of children's reach.
• The unit should not be used in the presence of an anaesthetic mixture inflammable with air, oxygen
or nitrous oxide.
• Never use adaptors for power supplies different from the one indicated on the bottom of the unit
(plate details). Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• Use solely the provided power supply cord.
• Do not handle the plug with wet hands and do not use the unit while bathing or showering. Never
submerge the unit in water; should this accidentally occur, unplug it immediately. Do not remove or
touch the unit under water before pulling out the plug. Take it immediately to an authorised service
centre or your dealer.
• Never wash the unit under running water or by soaking.
• The casing of the unit is not protected against the infiltration of liquids.
• Always unplug the power cord immediately after use.
• Do not obstruct the air slots placed on both sides of the unit. During use, always place the unit on a
firm surface clear of obstacles. The air slots should be kept free of obstruction by blankets, pillows,
hairs or similar objects. Do not place any objects inside the air slots.
• Servicing may be performed by authorised personnel only. Any unauthorised repairs will void the
warranty and may pose a safety hazard for the user.
• The Manufacturer, the Retailer and the Importer are responsible for safety, reliability and performance
only if: a) the unit is used in accordance with the operating instructions; b) the electrical system of the
premises where the unit is used is in conformity with current laws.
• Microbial contamination: a personal use of the nebuliser and its accessories is recommended in
order to avoid any risks of infection.
• Interactions: the materials used that come into contact with drugs have been tested with a wide
range of medications. However, due to the variety and continuous evolution of medication, the
possibility of a chemical interaction cannot be excluded. Once opened, the medication should be
used as soon as possible. Avoid prolonged exposure to the nebuliser or the nasal wash.
