Operating instructions
The swivel-mounted splash-proof radi-
ant heater BS 50 for diaper changing
tables is just simply mounted on a wall.
It provides ideal warmth when changing
your baby's diapers. The radiant heater
can also be used of course for fast heat-
ing of bathrooms, hobby rooms, halls
or covered terraces and balconies. The
device has a 600-Watt heating rod with
a safety wire mesh, in order to prevent
splintering of the heating rod. The de-
vice turns itself off automatically after
approx. 10 minutes, due to the integrat-
ed deactivation device.

ant heater. They contain important notes on
start-up and handling of the device.

2. Intended use
• The device is only suitable for use in rooms,
where it is ensured that no contact with direct
water jets is possible. Outdoor use is there-
fore prohibited.
• The device may only be operated over a
230 V AC/50 Hz (10/16 A) ground contact
wall plug.
The device is damaged by any other use than
described above. There is moreover danger
of short-circuiting, fire or electric shock. The
device may neither be modified, opened nor
changed.
3. Safety notes
Any warranty claim is void in the case of damag-
es caused by non-observance of these operat-
ing instructions. We are not responsible for con-
sequential damages or for damage to persons
or property due to non-observance of the oper-
ating instructions or inappropriate operation of
the radiant heater.
• The device corresponds to the protection
class I. The user must observe the safety and
warning notes to maintain this condition and
to guarantee a safe operation of the device!
Arbitrary modifications to and/or changes of
the radiant heater are prohibited for safety
and authorisation reasons.
• Unsupervised operation of the radiant heater
is not permitted.
• Never touch the grid, when the radiant heater
is on. This can cause burns!
• Never touch energised parts, danger to life!

• Do not store or use easily inflammable materi-
als or spray in the vicinity of the operating de-
vice. Fire hazard!

• Do not introduce foreign objects into the de-

vice openings! Danger of injury by electric
shock and damage to the device!

• Do not put clothing, towels, or such to dry on
the device! Danger of overheating and burns!

• Never jerk the pull-switch forcefully, it could
thereby be damaged and destroyed.
• Never cover the louvres - danger of over-
heating.
• Switch the device off after use.
• Never pour liquids over the device. Extreme
danger of a fire or of a lethal electric shock.
If liquid should nevertheless have been inad-
vertently poured over the device, pull the pow-

er supply plug out of the socket immediately
and contact a technician.
• The maximum irradiation duration may not ex-
ceed 10 minutes.
• The irradiation distance of 100 cm from the
baby to the radiant heater must be observed.
• Babies with a temperature may not be irradi-
ated. There is the danger of overheating.
• Have repairs carried out only by qualified tech-
nical personnel.
• Reflector and heating rod may only be cleaned
by qualified technical personnel.
• Switch the device off immediately, if safe op-
eration is no longer possible, and safeguard
against unintentional operation.
Safe operation is not possible anymore, if:
• The device has visible damages
• The device does not work anymore after
lengthy unsuitable storage.
4. Start-up
The intended use, the safety notes, and the
technical data are to be observed prior to start-
up. Ensure prior to start-up that the radiant
heater is suitable for the application, for which
it is to be used.
5. Mounting and installing prerequisites
• Before mounting make sure that the radiant
heater for the diaper changing table is mount-
ed on the wall in such a way that it can radiate
directly onto the baby.
• The minimum distance of the device to furni-
ture and easily combustible materials such as
stores and curtains must be 70 cm.
• The installation height of the device should be
at least 1.8 meters.
1. Measure the hole spacing of the wall holder
and transfer the value to the wall, where the
radiant heater is to be attached. Don't forget
that a ground contact wall plug must be in the
vicinity of the radiant heater.
2. Before drilling make sure that no electrical
power lines or water pipes are located in the
wall to be drilled; in case of doubt consult a
technician.
3. Now drill 2 holes with a 5-mm-drill into the
wall, insert two dowels, and screw two suita-
ble screws into the dowels (mounting material
not contained in the scope of delivery).
4. Now attach the wall holder to the screws,
so that they are firm and adjust the desired
tilt angle.
We cannot be made responsible for damages
resulting from insufficient or incorrect mounting
of the device!

Note!
• Insert the plug only into a grounded socket.
• Never insert or remove the plug with wet
hands.
• Never pull on the power cable; always remove
the plug using the foreseen areas on the plug
to remove it from the socket.
• Make sure that the power cable is not
squeezed when installing.
• Never operate the radiant heater unattended.
• The device may not be connected to the pow-
er supply, if the device or the cable is dam-
aged. Contact a qualified technician in such
a case.
• Never lead the power cable and the pull-
switch over the protective grate.
