MELTING AND INJECTION
- Flip the min switch to «on» (Marche)
- Select the arm start-up speed.
- Put the metal to be melted in the bottom of the crucible.
- Place the crucible on the insulating tray located on the arm.
- Position the "ring +cradle "assembly on the arm.
- Centre the arm and check that a signal confirms proper positioning.
- Raise the induction coil.
- Close the cover.
- Begin the melting operation.
The mean melting time is 1 minute for 25g of metal, with the vitreous carbon sheath, except
BERYLLIUM alloy.
When electromagnetic forces begin to metal, the ingots group together and form a ball. This is
the ideal time to begin injection.
-Stop centrifuging after 10 to 20 seconds by pressing STOP
- Wait until the cover safety latch is released (20s)
- Open the cover.
ARGON GAS
A – FUNCTION
Argon gas is injected during the operation to avoid oxidation of the alloy.
We recommend that you contact "AIR LIQUIDE COMPAGNY" for the argon gas
They will supply you with the right cylinder as well as a flow meter.
Characteristics
- Cylinders are leased for 2 m
- The gas used is: Nerthal, an industrial argon.
- Flow meter
: class 0-15 bars.
B – METHOD
Connect the flow meter to the receptacle at the back of the machine.
Open the cylinder.
Set the flow meter to 5 litres /minute.
Argon gas will automatically be injected as soon as melting begins.
When you'll have finished the casting, shut off the cylinder.
