WARNING:
Shock hazard. Do not allow any liquid to get inside charger. Never
attempt to open the battery pack for any reason. If the plastic housing of the battery pack
breaks or cracks, return to a service center for recycling.

INSTALLING / REMOVING BATTERY PACK

WARNING:
Make certain the forward / reverse slider (2 in figure A) is in the center
position to prevent switch actuation before removing or installing battery.
To install battery pack: Insert battery pack into the tool
body until an audible click is heard (figure B). Make
sure battery pack is fully seated and fully latched into
position.
To remove battery pack: Depress the battery release
button (B1) in the back of the battery pack and pull
battery pack out of tool (figure B).
Your Black & Decker multi-purpose tool has been designed for a wide range of DIY
applications.
The drill/screwdriver head is intended for screwdriving applications and for drilling in
wood, metal, plastics and soft masonry.
The saw head is intended for sawing wood, metal and plastics.
The sander head is intended for sanding wood, metal, plastics and painted surfaces.
This tool is intended for consumer use only. Your Black & Decker charger has been
designed for charging Black & Decker batteries of the type supplied with this tool.
WARNING: Before assembly, remove the battery from the tool body.
Attaching and removing tool heads (figure C)
• Lock the switch by setting the forward/reverse slider
(C1) to the center position and remove battery pack.
• To remove a tool head, depress the head release
button (C2) and take the head off the tool.
• To attach a tool head, line it up with the tool as shown
and push it onto the tool until it snaps into place. Make
sure tool head is fully latched into position.
Drill/Screwdriver Head - Installing and removing a
drill bit or screwdriver bit
The drill/screwdriver head has a keyless chuck to allow for an easy exchange of bits.
• Lock the switch by setting the forward/reverse slider (C1) to the center position and
remove battery pack.
• Open the chuck (9) by turning the front part clockwise (as viewed from the rear) with
one hand while holding the rear part with the other.
• Insert the bit shaft into the chuck.
• Firmly tighten the chuck by turning the front part clockwise (as viewed from the rear)
with one hand while holding the rear part with the other.
• To remove the screwdriver bit from the bit holder, lift the bit from the recess.
• To store the screwdriver bit, firmly push it into the holder.
WARNING:
Do not attempt to tighten drill bits (or any other accessory) by gripping the
front part of the chuck and turning the tool on. Damage to the chuck and personal injury
may occur when changing accessories.
