Step 1: connect up all the servers

After connecting B -PLAYER

on all computers concerned. See the installation and configuration guide for the
procedure.
Step 2: select the directories containing
B
the files you want to share
To enjoy contents stored on your computers on your TV/Hi-Fi installation,
the directories containing the files must be set as shared on ASTONSERVER.
You can share:
Directories.
•
CD/DVD.
•
USB keys.
•
To share des directories, proceed as follows:
Double-click the icon on the task bar (bottom right of computer screen).

The ASTONSERVER window opens.
Press the "Select directories" button.
•
Select the directories, drives, or USB keys you want to share by ticking
•
their boxes.
Once you have made the selection, click at the bottom of the window
on Save .

® to your TV set, install the ASTONSERVER software
For easier use of B -PLAYER ® , we advise you to create My films, My photos,

and My music directories on your computer. Share these directories on ASTONSERVER
and place your new files in them. They will then become automatically available on ASTON-
SERVER and selectable from the TV/Hi-Fi.
N.B.1, when, adding files to a shared directory, we advise you to first put
B -PLAYER ® on standby and then restart it after the operation.

N.B.2, this step is not necessary to play a WEB TV or a WEB RADIO.
Step 3: playing a multimedia file on your TV set/Hi-Fi

B -PLAYER ® explorer displays the different available servers and thus allows you access to

the shared files.

Switch on your TV.

Press the MENU button
on the remote control
to bring the explorer
up on the screen.

Use the buttons to
select the server containing
the file you want to use.
N.B., when you are in a directory and you want to go up to the parent directory,
press the Esc button.

Press the button
on the remote control
to move to the right hand
section of the screen.

Now select the directory
containing the desired file
using the buttons. Press
the OK button.

Select the file and press
the OK button to start
playing the file.
The explorer closes
automatically.
