OPERATIONAL ELEMENTS
FRONT OF THE UNIT

Tuning knob (1)
Set the radio stations using the adjusting knob. The left scale
displays the transmission frequency for FM and the right
scale displays the frequency for MW. The 5:1-ratio of the
knob enables optimum adjustment to the desired frequency.
This is then automatically maintained by the AFC (Automatic
Frequency Control) (FM).
LED display (2)
The LED glows green when the unit is switched on.
OFF/FM/MW/AUX knob (3)
Turn the knob to alternate between FM/MW, to select the
AUX mode or to switch off the unit (OFF).
Volume knob (4)
Used for adjusting the volume.
Headphone jack (5)
This is used for connecting stereo headphones with a 3.5
mm stereo jack. The headphone volume is adjusted via the
volume knob on the Bernstein PRA 30 unit. The PRA 30's
speaker is disconnected when the headphones are inserted.
Set the volume to a low level when connecting the
headphones.
AUX input (6)
Used for connecting an external audio source (e.g. portable
CD player or MP3 player) with a 3.5 mm stereo jack. The
volume should be adjusted depending on the connected
audio source.
