Operation Instructions & Battery Placement
CAUTION: YOU MUST CHARGE THE BATTERY BEFORE FIRST USE. Please note that
battery can lose charge if left unused or uncharged for a long period of time. Failure to
charge the battery will result in premature dimming of the lights in your new solar umbrella.
Make sure the light switch is in off position when charging the solar panel. Fore everyday
normal use, turn light switch on at night when you want to use solar light and turn off switch
after use. MAKE SURE LIGHT SWITCH IS IN OFF POSITION DURING DAYTIME TO ALLOW
SOLAR PANEL TO CHARGE BATTERY.

Crank handle
Step 6: (1) Turn crank handle in clockwise direction (to right) until canopy is
fully opened. Turn crank handle in opposite direction to close canopy and
secure with attached strap. To close the umbrella, it must be in the upright
position.
(2) You can tilt the umbrella to the right or left by pressing the tilt button to
release the umbrella top. Release the button to maintain desired angle.
(3) Insert battery into housing bottom to top. Press light button to turn solar-
lights on and off. Press once to turn on rib lights on and off. Press a second
time to turn on hub light. Press a third time to turn on both ribs and hub lights.
Press a fourth time to turn off all lights. Remove battery from hub when the
battery has drained. Replace battery once fully charged. When solar energy
is insufficient, you can use the power supply indoors to charge the battery.
Charge level can be seen on battery power meter lights.
