14. Cassette operation

 Press the
/ FUNC. button once or several times until TAPE appears on the dis-
play.

14.1. Inserting a cassette

 Press the 
button to open the cassette compartment.
 Insert a cassette into the compartment grooves with the tape side facing up.
 The side to be played faces forwards.
 Push the compartment closed.

14.2. Playing, stopping and pausing a cassette

 Press the  button to start playing the cassette.
 You can stop playback by pressing the 
 You can pause playback by pressing the  button. Press the button again to re-
sume playback.
Once the end of the tape is reached, playback stops automatically.

14.3. Fast-forwarding and rewinding

 Press the  button (rewind) or  button (forward) to fast forward or rewind the
tape.
 Press the 
button to stop fast-forwarding or rewinding. You can also press
this button if you have reached the end or the beginning of the tape.
Do not switch immediately from fast-forwarding or rewinding to playing. Stop
the tape first to protect the tape from wear.

15. Cleaning

Always disconnect the device from the mains before cleaning it.
Only use a dry, soft cloth to clean the device. Do not use chemical solutions or
cleaning products because these may damage the device's surface and/or markings.
Do not touch or clean the lens in the laser unit.

16. Storing the device when not in use

If you are not going to use the device for a long period of time, store
it in a dry, cool place and ensure that the device
is protected from dust and extreme temperature fluctuations.
Disconnect the mains plug from the socket and remove the batteries from the de-
vice.
