I nstalling / replacing the
saw blade
Always wear safety gloves when installing /chang-
ing the saw blade.
Turn the quick-release chuck
the direction of the arrow and keep it turned.
P ush the selected saw blade all the way into the
quick-action blade clamp
R elease the quick-action blade clamp
must then return to its original position.The saw
blade is now locked.

Start-up

Switching on and off

Switching on:
P ress the switch lock
P ress the ON- / OFF switch
Switching off:
R elease the ON- / OFF switch
A ttaching / Removing the
holding bracket
Note: The retaining bracket
removed with the saw blade installed.
Attaching the holding bracket

Sawing techniques

A) Working without holding bracket
(see Fig. E):
W hen cutting thicker branches or sawing wood,
plastic or materials, work WITHOUT holding
bracket. The piece to be sawed must touch the
shoe. Use a rocking motion when cutting round
pieces.
A1) Flush cuts:
When using flexible saw blades with the respective
length you can cut protruding pieces, e.g. pipes,
flush with the wall.
1. Place the saw blade directly against the wall.
2. Apply sideways pressure to the sabre saw,
bending it so the foot plate
wall sideways.
3. Switch on the tool and saw through the work
piece, applying consistent pressure.
A2) Plunge sawing (see Fig. F):
CAUTION! RISK OF KICK-BACK! Only
plunge saw soft work pieces (wood, etc.).
1. Place the bottom edge of the sabre saw shoe
onto the work piece.
Switch on the tool.
2. Tip the sabre saw forward and plunge the saw
blade into the work piece.
3. Straighten the sabre saw into a vertical posi-
tion and continue cutting along the cutting line.
B) Using the holding bracket (see Fig. G):
M ove the saw, applying slight downward pressure.

A lways disconnect the mains plug from the
socket and remove the battery pack
