Work mode selection (ASV 200-2 only)
Setting up torque
Turning the mode switch (6a) to the relevant symbol will set the
required torque

Work mode selection (ASP 200-2 only)
You can set up tightening, impact free drilling or impact drilling by
turning the mode switch (6b) to the relevant symbol You may also
use the torque set function for batch or gentle tightening when
setting up the drive mode The machine has a maximum torque
available when setting the impact free drilling mode Impact drill-
ing makes drilling more efficient, eg when drilling into brick or
other such hard construction materials
Attention! Only change the tightening/drilling/impact drilling
modes while the machine is idle!
Always use only drill bits designed for impact drilling when drilling
in this manner
Tightening
Symbol
= suitable for tightening
Impact free drilling
Symbol
= suitable for driving, drilling into metal, wood
etc
Impact Drilling
Symbol
= suitable for impact drilling into brick
Setting up torque
The function for setting up torque can be used only if the machine
or set collar (6b) is set to tightening mode
Proceed as per the above to set up torque
Mounting and releasing tools
Turning the chuck mounting case (8) opens and closes the jaws
between which you place the working tools (drill bit, bit holder
etc) The machines are automatically equipped with a spindle stop,
which makes changing the tool using only one hand in the desired
direction very simple
Mounting a belt clip
Place the machine onto a horizontal surface (eg a work table)
Place the belt clip (12) onto the belt clip base (14) so that the
openings in the belt clip overlap with the threaded openings in the
machine Secure the belt clip (12) using fastening screws (13) and
a corresponding screwdriver You can mount the belt clip to the
machine from the right or the left side Be careful not to mount the
belt clip the wrong way around The belt clip position must match
the illustration

"TRAFFIC LIGHT" LED indicator (9)

Battery charge status (capacity) indication:
Activates automatically once you press the switch button (3) and
switches off after approx 3 seconds The following LEDs light up
depending on the state of charge (capacity) of the accumulator:
• Accumulator is fully charged: all three status LEDs light up –
green, yellow and red
• Accumulator capacity has dropped below ca 60%: only two
status LEDs light up – yellow and red
• Accumulator capacity has dropped below ca 30%: only one
status LED lights up – red
Indication of Reversible Defects
• Indication of low accumulator voltage – can occur when the
accumulator voltage reaches dangerously low levels that
could prevent repeated, proper and safe recharging The con-
trol system will automatically disconnect the motor and a red
status LED will start flashing; release the switch and press it
again If the problem persists, take the accumulator out of the
machine and place it in the charger to recharge it Insert the
22
other (spare) accumulator into the machine and proceed with
your work
• Overload indication – can occur as a result of excessive cur-
rent consumption, eg at an extremely high torque, in case
of a jammed tool etc The control system will automatically
disconnect the motor and all three status LEDs will start flash-
ing – green, yellow and red To restart the machine, release the
switch and then press it again
• Overheat indicator – can occur in case of a long-term, extreme
load The control system will automatically disconnect the mo-
tor and two status LEDs will start flashing – yellow and red Let
the machine cool down before using it again The cool down
time depends on how overheated the machine is
Indication of Irreversible Defects
May occur as a result of a combination of factors eg during a short
circuit, motor failure, accumulator failure etc All three status LEDs
will start flashing – green, yellow and red If the machine cannot be
restarted as per the above, bring it (along with the accumulator) to
your nearest authorised service centre

Maintenance and service

Instructions for device cleaning
Start the motor and blow impurities and dust out of the vent holes
of the device Use protective goggles for this operation Clean the
external plastic parts by a wet rag and mild detergent Though
these parts are made of the materials resistant to solvents, NEVER
use any solvent
Instructions for cleaning the charger
Attention! Risk of electric shock. Prior to start handling
the charger, disconnect the line plug from the socket!
Impurities and dust can be removed from external charg-
er surfaces by a rag or a non-metal brush Use neither water nor
detergents
Attention! With respect to protection from el. shock
and preservation of the class of protection, all mainte-
nance and service operations requesting jig saw case
removal must be performed by the authorized service
centre only!
The current list of authorized service centres can be found at our
website www.narex.cz, section "Service centres"
