that the boiler is operating. The iron is ready to release steam.
When the boiler reaches the required temperature, the electrical pump will fill the boiler
with water from the tank.
Adjust the temperature by turning the thermostat knob to the required position. The
icons on this knob will help you choose the most adecquate temperature according to
the type of clothes to be ironed.
After 90 seconds approximately, the heating indicator will turn off. This means that the
soleplate has reached the desired temperature but with no steam.
After 3 minutes approximately, the steam ready indicator will turn off. This means that
the boiler pressure has reached the desired level and the iron is ready to release steam.
If you wish to turn off the steam mode, press the on / off boiler switch. The on / off boi-
ler switch light indicator will turn off.
Steam ironing
When using the appliance for the first time, iron flat clothes.
Pressing the steam button will release steam from the soleplate.
This appliance can generate steam in vertical position and therefore can be used to iron
with a steam jet.
If you hear a loud noise, it means there is no water in the tank. Press the on / off boiler
switch to turn if off and unplug the appliance. Fill the water tank without exceeding the
max. level mark. Press the on / off boiler switch again to carry on with the ironing.
CAUTION: Never attempt to open the anti-calc valve while the boilwer is on. Unplug the
appliance and allow it to cool down completely before opening the valve.
Dry ironing
Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
Press the on / off boiler switch.
Adjust the temperature by turning the thermostat knob to the desired position.
When the iron heating indicator goes off, it indicates that the desired temperature has
been reached.
