overload is restricted airflow. To help prevent
thermal overload, you should
• Make ducting runs as straight and short as
possible
• Keep the ducting unobstructed and free of
debris
• Keep the air intake grill unobstructed

1. Clean the fuel tank.
a. Place an appropriate container beneath the drain
plug to catch any fuel.
b. Remove the drain plug with a wrench.
c. Allow the tank to drain completely.
d. Replace the drain plug.
e. Dispose of waste fuel in accordance with local
regulations.
WARNING! Diesel fuel is flammable and potentially
explosive. Always turn off and unplug the Dragon
before draining the fuel tank. Keep away from
open flame.
2. Replace the fuel filter
Replace the fuel filter once a year. Unscrew the filter to
remove it. Replacement fuel filters may be purchased
from most automotive supply retailers. Ask for Wix
part. no. 24104 or equivalent. Have rags or paper
towels on hand to clean up any spills, and dispose of
the filter and waste fuel according to local regulations.

3. Service the burner, heat exchanger and

by a qualified HVAC technician once a year. Contact

Use a cleaner with a degreasing agent such as
Unsmoke Degrease-All to clean the housing as
needed.
