extra balusters 121019 (Fig. 9).
37. In this case, a space must be considered that is at the same distance from the other balusters or from the
wall. Drill landing with a 4.5 mm bit and assemble with components 033063, 001004 and 002040 (Fig. 1) (Fig. 9).
38. Assembly of floor-mounted balustrade, if applicable (Fig. 16)
Determine the position of the posts on the floor, on average one every 28 cm and at a distanza of 8 cm from
the edge.
Take care: for circular balustrades, use the circular handrail to determine the distance of the posts from
the edge of the floor aperture – this distance varies according to the radius of the circular handrail supplied.
Drill with a Ø 10 mm bit and insert the 046015 components, fixing them with chemical resin (not supplied).
Assemble components 033063 with components 009002 and 005001. Insert the 121019 balustrade
balusters (H= 910 mm) into the 033063 components, with the 033092 reinforcing baluster about every
metre, and lock them with components 033101. Fix the balusters to the wall using component 033010 and
items 008004, 011053 and 033056 (drill with an Ø 8 mm bit). Determine the length of the handrails and
cut off the excess quantity. Assemble the 140053 or 140073 handrails to the balusters with the 002031
components using items 031076 and 046011 for straight balustrades and items 031073, 031077 and
002011 for circular balustrades. Assemble any 033103, 033105, 033107 connecting components and the
033103 terminal components.
39. Insert the steel cables 004041 into the parts 034035 on the balusters, positioning the parts 004048 in
correspondence to the balusters at the end of the railing side. Secure the cables on one of the two ends
using the parts 004048 and 001011. Cut and secure the cables on the opposite end using the parts
004048, 001011 and 011040 (cover the cable ends with some adhesive tape to prevent them from fraying
when you cut them). Tighten the cables by screwing in part 011040 in sequence from top to bottom (Fig. 1)
(Fig. 6) (Fig. 7).
Final assembly
40. To further reinforce the staircase at intermediate points, fix components 033010 to wall and join to the
balusters, using components 033056. Drill with an 8 mm bit and use components 008004, 011053,
011057, 005035 (Fig. 12) (Fig. 13).
Assembly of 030 railing
41. Unlock component 005008 and fan out the 103008 steps. It's now possible to ascend the staircase.
42. Fit parts BE6 into holes on treads with edge facing upwards (Fig. 2).
43. Starting from the landing, insert the 122011 connecting balusters between the steps, inserting the BE8
component on each step, with the hole in the screw facing in the direction of the ascent. If necessary, cut the
balusters 122011 from the lower end to obtain a handrail height of about 100 cm.
44. Position balusters with component C63 with the part with hole upwards (Fig. 2) (Fig. 9). Tighten the 001013
components of the steps above and below paying attention to the riser (Fig. 2).
45. Carefully check that all balusters positioned are vertical. This is essential for successful final assembly of the
staircase.
46. Definitively tighten component 005008 (Fig. 9).
47. Fix component BE5 to floor in position of first baluster, drilling with an 8 mm bit. Use components 011053,
008004, and 001004 (Fig. 2).
48. Position the first baluster 122011; adjust height according to the balusters fitted earlier (Fig. 2). Insert the
046050 reinforcing component into the 1st baluster.
49. Prepare spiral handrails, components 031073, 002011 and disks 031077; the disks are made in soft
transparent material; take care not to mistake them for parts 031076, made in hard transparent material
and to be used only in the joints of any straight handrails present (Fig. 2).
50. Cut the initial handrail by 5 cm and attach the 031061 component, using components 011069 and 004034,
drilling with a Ø 6 mm bit. Start to assemble the handrails onto the balusters with the 002031 components,
starting from the bottom. Continue mounting the handrails, inserting the 031073, 031077 joint components
and the 002011 fixing screws. Make sure the balusters are vertical and rotate the sections of handrail until
they are perfectly aligned (Fig. 2).
51. When the last baluster on the staircase is reached, cut excess handrail at right angles with a saw for wood
(Fig. 2).
52. Complete handrail by fixing component 031061, using components 011069 and 004034, drill with a 6 mm
bit (Fig. 2).
53. Fit parts BE5 to treads, using fittings 002040, in an intermediate position, drilling with a Ø 4,5 mm bit.
Determine the height of the intermediate columns, measuring the distance from handrail to step, deducting
5 mm for the thickness of component BE5, and cutting the balusters on the free side. Once cut, insert the
columns into the BE5 details, before fixing them to the handrail. Make sure they are vertical before tightening
