5.2.

TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT

1. Switch on the instrument by pressing the Trigger key T or the Joystick key J.
2. Set the instrument as desired from the general menu (see § 5.1) paying special
attention to the emissivity value of the material of the object to be measured and to the
activation of the laser pointer.
3. Turn the protection ring (see Fig. 1 – part 3) and open the central hole (see Fig. 14).
4. Press and hold keep the Trigger key T to activate the instrument and direct it towards
the surface of the object whose temperature must be measured. The laser pointer on
the upper part o the instrument (see Fig. 1 – part 1) and the area laser beam are
directed towards the target (see Fig. 15).
The area laser beam allows for an immediate evaluation of the maximum
dimension of the measuring spot with regard to the distance from the target in
order to obtain a correct temperature measurement.
