8. Cleaning and maintenance
Note
Before cleaning the device, ensure that the device is disconnected from the
power supply and that there is no water left in the water tank Regular cleaning
is a prerequisite for hygienic and fault-free operation The aroma diffuser can be
dismantled for cleaning easily and without tools
• Clean the device after every use using a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove de-
posits (eg limescale), paying particular attention to the cover and the inside of
the water tank Never use abrasive, corrosive or solvent-based cleaning products
• To clean the ultrasonic membrane (figure A),
remove the ultrasonic cap (figure B) with a
quarter turn anti-clockwise and then clean
the membrane Then return the ultrasonic
cap and secure it with a quarter turn clock-
wise
Descaling
Descaling the ultrasound membrane
Hard water can cause limescale to build up in the device and, especially, on the
ultrasound membrane This forms white deposits Descale the device regularly
Drop some descaler onto the ultrasound membrane
Leave it to take effect for 2 to 5 minutes
Rinse the base unit twice with clean, fresh water
