17. Orient cover support collar [15] as required by removing and reinstalling screws [16]. Lap joint in collar defines the
hinge location of the cover, SEE FIGURES D & E.
18. Install finished flooring to within 1/8 inch [3.2 mm] of cover support collar [15]. FOR CERAMIC TILE - DO NOT GROUT
BETWEEN THE SUPPORT COLLAR AND TILE.
19. Adjust height of cover support collar flush to just below the finished floor. Cover support collar is adjustable for
finished floors of 0 inches to .25 inches [0.0 - 6.4 mm] thick. Tighten mounting screws [16] to 10 - 15 lbs-in torque
[1.1 - 1.7 N m]. For thicker floor finishes use accessory collars (CFB8RCVRRx), sold separately.
20. Seal the gap around the cover support collar [15] with a continuous bead of electrical grade type RTV silicone sealant,
SEE FIGURE F.
21. Use the provided floor gasket or apply a 1/4 inch [6.3 mm] thick continuous bead of electrical grade type RTV silicone
sealant around the perimeter on the underside of the flange [17].
22. Attach flange [17] to the cover support collar [15] using #8-32 flat head screws [18] provided with the cover. Tighten
to 10 - 15 lbs-in torque [1.1 - 1.7 N m].

communications standards, the following instructions and any instructions included with individual devices.
NOTICE: Insure data/communications circuits are separated from lighting/power circuits in accordance with the NEC and
CE Code requirements.
Use with CFB4G25, CFB4G25CR, CFB4G30, CFB4G30CR, or CFB4G30CI floor boxes.
Use with CFBS1R8CVRxx series round covers.
BEFORE CONCRETE POUR, SEE FIGURES A & B
1. Remove four #8-32 flat head screws [1] from top corners of floor box assembly and discard.

2. Remove mounting plate [2] from the box.
3. REMOVE AND DISCARD PLASTIC [3] AND METAL [4] COVERS ATTACHED TO THE MOUNTING PLATE [2].
4. Install leveling screws [5] as shown in FIGURE A.
5. Make conduit connections in accordance with application and applicable electric codes. For deep sheet metal
boxes (CFB4G30xx), 2" trade size conduit hubs, (CFBHUB2), sold separately, may be used in place of knockout
plates [6] as needed. For cast iron boxes, remove closure plugs [7] as needed. Unused conduit ports should
be left covered with closure plugs [7], SEE FIGURE B.
