Positioning the storage tank

Before installing the storage tank, the static load capacity of its supporting surface must be checked. The
weight of the filled storage tank, including any potentially installed accessories, must not exceed the permissible
floor or ceiling load!
The area on which the storage tank is positioned must be even and enable the storage tank to remain vertical at
all times. The storage tank must be placed in a watertight leak basin with a sufficient capacity or be able to drain
off any water that escapes via a floor drain.
The storage tank must be placed in a frost-resistant room. All cables must be as short as possible and frost-
resistant. The end of the outlet line must also be positioned in the frost-resistant area.
The gaps between the storage tank and walls, ceilings and non-mobile obstacles must be selected to enable
easy installation, removal, inspections and maintenance. Above all, flanges must be accessible and it must be
possible to install and uninstall anodes and any electrical heating cartridges.
The positioning and installation must be carried out by an authorised specialist company!
The applicable standards and engineering practices must be observed!!
The storage tank is supplied with the insulation installed.
Remove the insulation from the storage tank before transporting it to the installation site (only art. nr.
Z21051).
Carefully transport the storage tank to the installation site.
Position the storage tank at the installation site.
Installing flexible PU foam insulation
The flexible foam insulation should be installed by at least two people.
Destruction of the zip
- The storage cover pulls together depending on the ambient temperature. At low
temperatures, the storage cover is shorter by up to 5 cm. Mount the storage cover only at
Caution!
room temperature.
-If the insulation is too tightly contracted at the zip, this can be destroyed.
Adjust the thermal insulation to the storage tank by carefully patting and stroking it with
the palm of your hand.
- Place flexible foam insulation carefully around the storage tank without any
use of excessive force ensuring you take notice of the recesses for the connections.
- Carefully fasten the zip by hand (don't use a pliers!).
- Place the PU flexible foam storage tank insulation into the top of the
storage tank.
- Put on the storage tank lid and attach the rosettes if necessary.
Installing hard PU foam insulation
Place convection brakes (foam rings) over the connections.
Carefully place the hard foam insulation elements over the storage tank and press them together.
On some models, the sky jacket now has to be placed around the storage tank and sealed by fastening
the zip. (See also the image under 'Installing flexible PU foam insulation').
Optionally move the tightening strap downwards and carefully tighten it using the snap-catch.
Put on the storage tank lid and attach the rosettes.
