5.1

Flushing and filling the system

The system must only be positioned and commissioned by authorised specialists.
1. Flush pipes in accordance with DIN 1988 and conduct a maximum pressure test using the test
pressure (see technical data).
2. Check that all connections, including the cleaning flange, are free from leaks (max. torque for the bolts
on the flange 40 Nm).
3. Carefully fill and bleed the drinking water section of the system.
4. Fill the heating section in accordance with VDI 2035, bleed it and generate the operating pressure.

*) For systems with circulating heaters and/or electrical heating elements, the guide value for the total
alkaline earth content is ≤ 3.0 mol/m³ or 16.8° dH.
If the system volume is > 20 l/kW boiler output (the smallest individual heating output must be used for
multi-boiler systems), the requirements of the next highest total heating capacity group must be used (see
table). In the event of serious breaches of limits (> 50 l/kW), the total alkaline earth content must be
hardened to ≤ 0.02 mol/m³.
Check that connections do not leak under pressure.
Check the water safety valve's activation pressure and that it is functioning correctly.
Completely fill the solar circuit with a suitable solar medium, bleed it and check there are no leaks.
Check that all screws are tight and that the system as a whole (including the components installed in the
manufacturer's factory) functions correctly and is free from leaks.
5.2

Operator training

The operator must be fully informed about how to operate the device and how it functions.
During the explanation, particular focus should be placed on safety-related details, especially that:

a specialist must be consulted if the safety temperature limiter is repeatedly triggered.

the safety valve's outlet line must remain open at all times.

the safety valve's functionality must be occasionally checked by venting it.

the system must be subjected to annual maintenance.

the operating manual must be stored with the system in a visible position.
