BEFORE USING YOUR COMBEKK PAN
FOR THE FIRST TIME
Remove all packaging and labels. Wash the Combekk pan in hot soapy
water and dry it thoroughly.
HEAT SOURCES
Electric or ceramic hobs, gas, induction etc. the Combekk feels at home
on any heat source (except for microwaves).
Select the right size ring or hot plate. Make sure the pan covers the heat
source/flames fully so that the sides and handles don't overheat.
- If you're cooking on a glass hob: lift the pan rather than sliding it to
prevent damage.
- In the oven: the pan (without wooden handle) is perfect for use in the
oven. Always put it on a baking sheet or oven shelf and never on the
bottom of the oven.
Keep long handles away from other heat sources and out of the reach of
children.
USING COMBEKK
For heating up
Heat the Combekk pan slowly, until it reaches the required temperature.
Never leave the pan unattended during cooking.
Cooking Utensils
Use wooden or heat-resistant plastic cooking utensils, so that you don't
damage the enamel layer. The side handles, knob and/or cast iron pan
handle will get hot. Only hold them using an oven mitt, oven gloves or a
dry cloth.
Ingredients
When heating up the pan, always use either a frying product (oil,
butter or fat) or a liquid (such as water, wine or bouillon). Dry cooking
can damage the enamel. If you are adding liquid to a hot Combekk
pan, warm it through (gently) first to avoid extreme differences in
temperature.
Deep frying: do not fill more than 1/3 of the pan with oil, to ensure the
oil level has room to rise when the ingredients are added.
STORING AND MARINATING
Enamel doesn't absorb colours or smells, so the Combekk pan is
excellent for marinating or for storing (uncooked) food.
CLEANING
Allow the Combekk pan to cool down slowly. Never plunge the hot pan
into cold water!
Once it has cooled wash it by hand (using a nylon scourer if necessary)
and a mild detergent. You can also leave baked-on food to soak in warm
water and wash it off later. Dry the pan thoroughly and rub a drop of oil
around the inside to keep the enamel in good condition. Store the pan in
a dry place.
MAINTENANCE
Check regularly whether the knob, (wooden handles) and/or pan handle
are still firmly secured and tighten if necessary.
*40 YEAR GUARANTEE
Combekk provides a 40 year guarantee on all of the cast iron parts.
Damage from it being dropped, banged, incorrect use or incorrect
cleaning methods are excluded from the guarantee, as is natural wear
and tear, consequential and incidental loss and damages. Your receipt is
