INSTALLATION COMPLETE:
A) Unscrew removable protective cap on the top
off the unit and turn the "ACTIVE/OVERRIDE"
manual reset control switch to the "ACTIVE"
position.
NOTE: If the control switch is in the "OVER-
RIDE" position it will completely bypass the
Battery Brain™ and the power will stay connect-
ed at all times. The unit will no longer function
until it is switched to the "ACTIVE" position.

Testing the Installation

How to test the Installation.
1. After completing the above steps press and
release wired push button to establish the
power connection and start the engine.
NOTE: Press briefly and release the button to
connect the Battery Brain™ and Press and hold
the button to disconnect the Battery Brain.
2. Turn off the engine and press the wired push
button, connect and disconnect twice then
reconnect and turn the engine on and try to dis-
connect the power while the engine is running
(it should not react)
3. A) If the engine-on wire is connected to the
oil pressure turn off the engine and leave on as
many electric accessories and wait until the
voltage drops below 11.7 V +/- on 12V units or
23.7 V +/- on 24V units for 60 consecutive sec-
onds the Battery Brain™ should disconnect the
power.
B) If the engine on wire is connected to one of
the fuses in the fuse box when you turn off the
engine you must completely turn off the main
switch (remove keys from ignition). Leave on as
many electric accessories and wait until the volt-
age drops below 11.7 V +/- on 12V units or 23.7
V on 24V units for 60 consecutive seconds the
Battery Brain™ should disconnect the power.
NOTE:
A) The wired push button will illuminate with a
red light when disconnecting voltage (11.7V +/-
on 12V unit or 23.7V +/- on 24V unit) has been
reached and the light will stay on for 60 sec-
onds after 60 seconds the Battery Brain™ will
disconnect the power from the electric system.
B) To prolong the delay time, press and release
(short press less than 2 seconds) the wired push
button within 60 seconds of it illuminating. The
Battery Brain™ will start the 60 second count
down again for another 60 seconds.

Installation Instructions

NOTE:
A)Before installing the Battery Brain™ make
sure you choose the correct configuration as
battery location and position differ in vehicles.
The Battery Brain™ must be mounted on the
positive post of the battery or on the Chassis.
Additional positive cable may be required.
Not supplied.
B) After installation ensure all connections are
tight. Ensure manual reset control switch under
the protective cap is in the "Active" position to
establish connection.
STEP 1:
Disconnecting Battery Cables:
A) Disconnect the black/negative (-) cable from
the negative (-) battery post/bolt on the battery
to ensure the battery is disconnected from the
ground.
B) Disconnect the red/positive (+) cable from the
positive (+) battery post/bolt on the battery.
STEP 2:
Connecting the Battery Brain™:
A) Connect the Positive Battery Post to the
"Active" side of Battery Brain™ (with 12V+/24V+
printed). An extension cable of 1ft might be
needed, purchased separately). Then connect
the Positive Cable of the vehicle to the side of
the Battery Brain™ with no print on it. Note: If a
Positive clamp is needed use the one supplied
in the accessory kit.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All connections into and
out of the Battery Brain™ must be covered with
the Red Protective covers
STEP 3:
Connecting Battery Brain™ to Ground:
A) Connect the black/negative (-) ground cable
to the negative (-) post/bolt on the battery.
B) Connect the clip end of the black ground
Battery Brain™ wire to the terminal bolt on the
negative (-) battery post/nut or connect to the
chassis metal screw (ground).
CHASSIS MOUNTING
Using the Side Chassis Mounting Bracket
A) Connect the "Active" side of the Battery
Brain™ to the Chassis using the 4 chassis
mounting blocks or using the supplied chassis
side mount bracket.
