Checking operation of the transceiver:
Once the transceiver has been connected to the vehicle electric system and to the
antenna, the correct operation of the system may be checked. Please proceed as follows:
1. Check that the power cable is correctly connected.
2. Check that the RF antenna coaxial cable is correctly connected.
3. Connect the microphone to the connector (2), located on the front of the transceiver.
4. Ensure the transceiver is in manual squelch mode by rotating the [SQUELCH] control
clockwise until it "clicks" into manual squelch mode.
5. Turn on the transceiver using the [ON/OFF/VOL] control and adjust the volume to the
desired level.
6. Turn the [SQUELCH] control counterclockwise until it clicks into the ASQ position, or if
you prefer to set the squelch manually, turn it clockwise until the background noise is
silenced.
7. Select the desired channel, using the [▲] / [▼] keys of the transceiver or the [UP] /
[DOWN] keys on microphone.
8. Press the [PTT] on microphone to transmit and release it to receive.
6.- MULTISTANDARD SELECTION MODES:
Frequency band selection / p rogramming:
Your JOPIX AP-6 CB transceiver must be programmed and exclusively used on a
frequency band allowed in the country where it is used (see table below). When the
transceiver is switched ON, the current programmed frequency band will be
displayed on the LCD display. To program a different frequency band, proceed as
follows:
1) Turn ON the transceiver using the [ON/OFF/VOL] control.
2) Press and hold the [MODE/BAND] key approx. 3 seconds to enter band selection
mode.
3) Use the [▲] / [▼] keys on the transceiver or the [UP] / [DOWN] keys on the
microphone to select the band.
4) Press and hold the [MODE/BAND] key for approx. 3 seconds to choose the band.
