Follow these steps to install the rear shocks (same for both sides):
1. Installation on the ground: Set handbrake, chock front wheels and lift rear axle off the ground. Secure
the frame with jackstands.
Installation on lift: Raise the vehicle.
2. Prepare working area by removing components that might be in the way like tires, inner fenders, etc.
3. Take off the stock shock and exhaust muffler.
4. Place the upper shock relocator into place and identify where to cut. Use an angle grinder or
reciprocating saw. Img.6
5. Perform cuts.
6. Place the upper shock relocator inti place holding it by the two OEM shock screws to get the correct
position. Mark all holes to be drilled. Img.7
7. Drill holes and install upper shock relocator with provided hardware.
8. Place new shock into position and identify possible clearance issues.
9. After taking care of all interference issues install the shock following these steps.
10. Install the upper cap end into the relocation bracket with the necessary high misalignment spacers
and the reservoir facing aft. Insert the polyurethane washers to keep the shock aligned. Img.10
11. Next install the rod cap end into the axle mounting location with the necessary high misalignment
spacers and tighten to manufacturer's specification.
Installation on the ground: This step will be easier if the vehicle is held by the frame so that the axle
can be lowered to avoid having to compress the shock.
12. Reinstall the tires and all parts that were taken off for installation.
13. Modify muffler as needed. If you have any doubts, contact us! Img.9 is one possible example.
14. Lower the vehicle onto the ground and check there's enough clearance between all elements.
15. Check that the shock is held in place correctly so that it will not interfere with any other components
when the suspension cycles.
16. Recheck all hardware after 100kms.
