Fire Hazard. DO NOT block
exhaust outlet or allow
exhaust fumes to blow directly on items. If
the Hitch Caddy or cargo is in line with the
exhaust outlet, an exhaust tip must be used
to redirect the exhaust away from the Hitch Caddy or
cargo.

Personal Safety

DO NOT use to transport people,
animals, flammable liquids,
flammable gases, corrosives or other harmful
chemicals. Death or severe personal injury WILL result.
DO NOT work underneath the Hitch
Caddy while it is in the open position.
Fall Hazard. DO NOT use the Hitch
Caddy as a step to get in and out of
the vehicle. Severe personal injury COULD result.
DO NOT climb, sit or stand on the
Hitch Caddy at any time. Death or
severe personal injury COULD result.
DO NOT let children play on the Hitch
Caddy. Keep children away when
loading the Hitch Caddy.
Hitch Caddy Use and Care
The Hitch Caddy will support a
maximum weight of 300 pounds,
evenly distributed. Structural failure will occur if the
maximum weight capacity is exceeded, which COULD
cause personal injury or even death.
It is the owner's responsibility to
secure the cargo safely to the
Hitch Caddy. Failure to do so may cause the cargo
to separate from the Caddy during transport, which
COULD result in personal injury or even death.
Secure Load. Conduct pre-trip
inspection (and during fuel and rest
stops) to verify that the load is secure. Use tie-down
straps rated higher than the weight of the cargo. Place
straps so they pull against each other when tightening.
This will help ensure that the equipment or load is
stabilized to prevent both sideways and front to rear
movement. Different configuration of equipment or
loads will necessitate different tie down points. Some
study will be needed to properly meet this requirement.
Ensure that all pins, latches, gates and ramps are in
place and secured. Please check with local authorities
to be sure you are in compliance. Failure to secure load
COULD result in death or serious injury.
DO NOT use any part of the Hitch
Caddy to pull or tow anything. This
will void the warranty. Death or severe personal injury
COULD result.
The Hitch Caddy adds approximately
24 inches to the back of your vehicle.
Use caution when maneuvering your vehicle so that
you do not damage the Hitch Caddy.
Check state laws regarding 'secured'
loads.
Do not carry loads wider than your vehicle or deeper
s
than the Hitch Caddy.
Do not load scooters and motorcycles on the Hitch
s
Caddy.
Check security of load, fasteners, pin and clip at all fuel
s
and rest stops.
DO NOT transport equipment or drive
with an empty Hitch Caddy unless
the Hitch Caddy is locked in the stowed position with
the large pin and hairpin clip in place and cargo is
properly secured.
NEvER move your vehicle with the
swing arm extended. Unless the
swing arm is locked against the main arm brace, it will
extend away from the back of the vehicle when it is
driven, which COULD cause a collision or accident.
Unless the jack leg is fully raised into
the outer support stand and secured
with the safety pin, it may lower during transport and
COULD result in death or serious injury.
Drive slowly on rough terrain, severe bumps can damage
s
your vehicle, hitch receiver and cargo.
If the Hitch Caddy strikes the road, thoroughly inspect and
s
correct any problems before resuming.
Do not cut, drill, weld or modify the Hitch Caddy.
s
