3.3. Maintenance instructions

The IH-xxxx-D infrared radiant heater is made of durable materials.
Nevertheless, regular maintenance can increase its lifetime.
Before cleaning, always make sure that the heater is fully disconnected
from electricity and that it's cooled down completely. Never use abrasives,
solvents or other aggressive cleaning products. Do not use a high pressure
cleaner, and make sure your hands are clean or wear gloves.
Chemical substances – including cigarette smoke – may damage the
surface of the heater. Therefore, the heater should be cleaned at least
every 3 months by using a damp cloth.
In case the heater is installed in a corrosive environment, more frequent
cleaning is recommended.
After cleaning, the heater should be switched on until the water remains
are fully evaporated in order to prevent water stains.
