Read this User Manual before you start using
the charging cable! Failure to observe these in-
structions can result in material damage to the
cable and nearby property, and in injury or even
death. Keep this User Manual in a safe place
together with the charging equipment. Always
provide any new users of the device with the
User Manual as well.
Proper, compliant use for its
intended purpose
This charging cable is intended to be used to
charge electric and hybrid vehicles at suitable
charging stations equipped with a Type-2 socket
outlet. Any use of this cable other than for its
intended purpose is prohibited. It is only safe to
use this charging cable if all instructions in this
User Manual are observed. Read this User Manual
before using the charging cable, and follow the
specified instructions. Observe the instructions in
your vehicle's Owner's Manual in addition to this
User Manual. Failure to observe these instructions
can result in damage to the charging cable. Im-
proper, non-compliant use is also hazardous and
can lead to electric shock, short circuit or fire.

Important safety instructions

• Children are prohibited from using this charging
cable!
• Prevent any animals from gaining access to the
charging cable.
• Connect the charging cable only to proper
sockets intended for charging.
• Do not use any adapter plugs or extension
cables.
• Do not use the charging cable in an explosive
environment containing combustible liquids,
gases or dusts – Danger of explosion and fire!
⚠ C A U T I O N
Failure to comply can result in damage to the
charging cable.
• Ensure that neither moisture, water nor any
other liquid, dirt, snow or dust ingresses the
contact points.

• Always keep the contact points clean and dry.
• Do not use compressed air or high-pressure
cleaning devices.
• After using the charging cable, always put the
protective caps back on both ends and coil it
up evenly so that it is free of kinks.

Avoid charging in the circumstances and
conditions shown there. Failure to observe
these instructions can result in property
damage and/or personal injury!
Checks prior to use

A damaged charging cable can cause serious or
even fatal injury.
• Inspect the charging cable every time before
using it (e.g. for cracking). Replace a damaged
cable with a new one.
• Do not use any adapter plugs or extension
cables with the charging cable.
Start charging process

The electric charging process can begin once the
charging cable is properly connected to charging
station and the electric vehicle.
Observe the instructions in your vehicle's Owner's
Manual as well.
End charging process
⚠ Observe Page 2 – Figure 3.
After using the charging cable, put the protective
plugs back on both ends of the cable. Coil up the
charging cable evenly so that it is free of kinks,
and properly stow it in your vehicle. Observe the
instructions in your vehicle's Owner's Manual as
well.
