BACTERICIDAL EFFECT.
STEAM-O-POWER has the capacity to eliminate
bacteria, provided direct steam contact lasts for
three minutes with no space between the fabric and
the steam-generating device. At a distance of 10
cm, the device loses part of its effectiveness and is
unable to kill 100% of bacteria.

ATTACHING THE ACCESSORIES:

1. Before attaching any accessory, ensure the appliance
is switched off and not emitting any steam. Also make
sure the accessories are cool before removing them.
The use of heat-resistant gloves to handle the acces-
sories is recommended, as they may be hot.
2. Choose the accessory for what you want to do. The
Delicate Ceramic Coated Attachment works very well
with linen, wool, cotton, polyester and silk. The Sharp
Creases Attachment is for putting creases in trousers
and other pleated garments.
3. To attach the Delicate Ceramic Coated Attachment,
push the button at the side of the unit to remove the
pre-attached Sharp Creases Attachment. Align the De-
licate Ceramic Coated Attachment with the base of the
unit and push until fully attached. When attaching the
Sharp Creases Attachment, push the two tabs into the
holes in the base of the iron until fully attached. (M)
4. To detach the Delicate Ceramic Coated Attachment,
press the catch and remove the accessory. When de-
taching the Sharp Creases Attachment, push the white
button on the side of the accessory and remove it.(N)
FILLING WITH WATER (O)
To fill Steam-O-Power with water, ensure the appliance
®
is switched off and unplugged from the mains. Fill the
appliance only when it is completely cool. Never use this
product without filling it with water!
1. Fill the measuring cup with water to the maximum
level mark (approximately 100 mL).
2. Lift the water-reservoir cap and pour in the water from
the measuring cup. Do not overfill the water reservoir.
Replace the water-reservoir cap and ensure it is closed
tightly.
3. Before refilling the water reservoir, press the
steam-release button to ensure the appliance is com-
pletely empty.
4. Before using the appliance, ensure it is completely
cool and empty and do the same before putting it away
(see "Instructions For Use").
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Attach the appropriate accessory for the garment you
wish to iron.
2. Fill the appliance with water.
3. Plug in Steam-O-Power and check that the power
®
light indicator is illuminated.
4. Wait for approximately one minute while the applian-
ce heats up. Press the steam-release button. This but-
ton should not be pressed continuously, as it will reduce
steam pressure. Wait for the light to turn off before be-
ginning to iron. The steam-release button can be pres-
sed when the light is off.
5. Before applying steam to a garment, first test the
appliance on an old piece of the same material.
6. Move Steam-O-Power over the whole garment whi-
®
le pressing the steam-release button to release steam
evenly. The iron may be moved both horizontally and
vertically. For best results just touch the garment lightly
with the iron.
7. If the appliance runs out of water before you have fi-
nished ironing, allow it to cool completely before refilling
it (see "Filling With Water"). Never use this appliance
