FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:

To determine the size, measure the circumference of a slightly bent knee and refer to the size

• T he brace will then always be put on in the
same manner as the first fitting performed
by the healthcare professional.
• T he brace is properly oriented when the
GIBAUD logo is the right way up.
• I t is essential to adjust the hinges before
fitting.
• T o adjust, slide the hinge cap downwards
and remove it.
• P osition the red angle stops (extension and
flexion) depending on the range of motion
or blocking recommended by the prescriber
(see photo).
• C lose the cap again by sliding upwards.
• O pen the brace up completely at the front.
• P lace the two grey patellar half-rings on
either side of the patella.
• F asten the bottom then the top using the
velcro tabs.
• P osition the silicone pad below the kneecap
on the tibial crest and fasten the straps
• T ighten the straps until the fit is snug but
comfortable.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND
LIMITATIONS OF USE:
• T he brace must not be in direct contact
with any skin lesions.
• T he brace must not be used in cases where
the injury requires absolute immobilisation
by plaster cast, resin cast or surgical
procedure.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE:

Keep brace away from direct heat sources.
Hand wash after ribs have been removed. Dry
flat, away from direct heat sources (radiators,
dryers).
