tions contained therein are strictly

l Before each use, check the unit for full functional
capability. If the functional capability is not ensured or
if damage is detected, the unit should not be used.
l When compressing the spring, neither the spring
windings nor the pressure plates 4 (B) should come in
contact with each other.
l The centre line of the spring must always be parallel to
the compressing device 2, especially for conical
springs.

Use as intended
The spring strut compressor is exclusively for compressing
and expanding of cylindrical and conical MacPherson
strut springs whereby suitable pressure plates must be
used.
Any other or further use is considered not as intended.

For Your Safety
l Use only suitable pressure plates 4 for the springs.
The spring 8 must rest securely within the outer rib 6
and the safety ridges 7 (D). Take care that sliding of
the spring 8 out of the pressure plates 4 is not
possible (D).
l The bolts 3 of the pressure plates 4 must always be
firmly tightened.
l For repair, use only original parts, especially for
conical springs.
l Do not make any construction changes to the unit.
Do not replace the spring pin 5 by a stronger spring
pin (C).
