Safety instructions

When connecting and using the Original
BMW headphones, you must observe the
following:

Read the instructions for use before
using the Original BMW headphones.

Keep the instructions for use
somewhere safe in case you need to
refer to them later.

Note all instructions and warnings.
Using the Original BMW headphones: The
Original BMW headphones are only intended
for use in the car. It is not recommended that
the driver use them while driving, and in some
regions this is forbidden.
Avoid damaging your hearing: To avoid
hearing impairment, set the volume on the
Original BMW headphones to low before using
them. Then turn the volume regulator until the
desired volume is reached. If you experiencing
ringing or whistling in your ears, turn the volume
down or discontinue using the Original BMW
headphones. A volume that does not damage
health varies from person to person. The choice
and use of such a volume is the decision of the
user.
Warning: Using the Original BMW headphones
at high volume can cause permanent damage
to your hearing. You may well become used to
higher volumes with time, such that these may
appear normal to you. Your hearing can however
still be damaged by them. If you experiencing
ringing or whistling in your ears, turn the volume
down or discontinue using the Original BMW
headphones. Have your hearing tested by a
doctor. The higher the volume, the more likely
your hearing will be affected.
In order to avoid hearing damage, BMW
recommends:

Only listen to high volumes with the
headphones for a limited period.

Turn the volume down if you are using the
headphones and cannot hear people talking
nearby.
Take care with children: Electronic equipment
can be dangerous if misused. The operation of
this product by a child must be supervised by an
adult. Do not allow children to access the interior
parts of electronic equipment.
Risk of injury or shock: Protect the Original
BMW headphones from liquids such as rain or
drinks. Do not spill any food or liquids over the
Original BMW headphones. If you do, however,
discontinue using them. If the headphones stop
working after such an incident, take them to an
authorised BMW dealer for checking.
