Spears 1/4 Turn Angle Supply Stop Valves are molded in tan CPVC and are provided with either female
®
SRFIPT threaded end connector or socket end connector for solvent cement applications. All outlets are
1/2" MIPT and the threaded inlet version will accept metal or plastic threaded end connectors. All applicable
instructions & procedures should be read thoroughly before starting. Suitability of the intended service should
be determined prior to installation. Plastic piping systems should be engineered, installed, operated and
maintained in accordance with acceptable standards and procedures

CAUTION: System must be depressurized
and drained prior to installation or repairs
ONE-STEP SOLVENT CEMENT CONNECTION
For best results, installation must be made at temperatures between 40°F
(5°C) and 110°F (43°C). All joining components must be clean and dry.

Use only cement conforming to ASTM Standard F493 and D2846 for
CTS CPVC pipe and fi ttings. One-step cements can be used without
primer where permitted by code. Check local codes.
Be sure pipe is cut square.
Bevel with beveling tool.
Apply Cement to Socket.
Hold 30 seconds for initial set..
1/4 Turn Angle Supply Stop

Apply Cement to pipe end.
Install immediately, using 1/4 turn twist.
Wipe off excess cement.
