11 Using for the first time
This chapter contains important
information on the operation of the
appliance. Observe the instructions to
avoid hazards and damage.
• Do not leave the appliance
unattended during operation in
order to be able to intervene
quickly in case of danger.

Before using for the first time

Before using the appliance for the first
time, clean the frother and accessories
to remove production residues, as
described in the Cleaning and
maintenance section.

12 Hints and tips

• Ideally use milk with a fat content
≥ 1.5%.
• The appliance cannot cool milk.
The appliance operates under
normal temperature conditions.
• The milk is heated to approx. 65°C
+/- 5° C. This is the ideal
temperature to ensure that the
taste of your coffee is not
affected.
• After producing milk foam or
heating milk, wait 2 minutes for
the thermostat to reset, then the
appliance is ready for use again.

rinse the jug with water after each
use and dry it afterwards.
• The appliance is designed for
heating milk and producing milk
froth. If you want to add flavours,
instant coffee granules or
chocolate powder to the pot, make
sure that it is cleaned immediately
and thoroughly after operation.
13 Cleaning and
maintenance
This chapter contains important
information on the cleaning and
maintenance of the appliance. Observe
the instructions to avoid damage due to
incorrect cleaning of the appliance and to
ensure trouble-free operation.
• Switch off the appliance and
remove the plug from the plug
socket before cleaning.
• Use a soft cloth to clean the
appliance.
• The jug, cover, whisk and base
are not dishwasher safe.
• Never immerse the jug in water.
• Never use solvents, abrasive
cleaners or alcohol to clean the
appliance.
• Do not clean the appliance with
flammable cleaning agents.
• If the appliance has not been used
for a long time, clean it thoroughly
before using it again.
Cleaning
1. Remove the mains plug from the
plug socket.
2. Clean the jug with warm soapy
water and a soft cloth.
3. Lift off the cover with silicone
ring. Wash out directly with
water.
4. Remove whisk and rinse with
warm water.
