Equipment. This instruction manual and any markings on the tool provide
information for avoiding hazards and unsafe practices related to the use of
this tool. Observe all the safety information provided.

These symbols are used to call attention to hazards or unsafe practices re-
lated that could result in injury or property damage. The three safety words
defined below indicate the severity of the hazard. The message after the
signal word provides information for preventing or avoiding the hazard.

WARNING – Personal Safety Hazards
• Only qualified persons should operate the Southwire
• Wear eye protection, hard hat, cut resistant gloves and safety toe shoes
when using this tool.
• Do not use tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or
medication.
• Keep body parts and loose clothing away from moving parts.
• Always follow operating procedures.
• Avoid accidental starting. Make sure switch is off before plugging in
motor.
• Always place the cable reel roller on a firm, level surface. Be sure the
surface can support the full load of the cable reel roller and the reel
of cable.
• Always remove reel of cable before moving or transporting the cable
reel roller.
• Always lift the cable reel roller using forklift pockets or by lifting eyes
provided at each corner of the unit.
• Never attempt to lift the cable reel roller by the rollers.
• Do not operate or store the cable reel roller in wet or damp locations.
• Do not expose the cable reel roller to the rain
• Only use this unit for its intended purpose as a cable reel roller.
• Do not exceed load rating of the cable reel roller.
• Always inspect the cable reel roller before each use.
