Move the Power Nozzle to a bare floor surface and adjust the
height to the highest setting before using the Brush Roll Clean
feature. Make sure vacuum is on and the brush roll is turning.
Handle position can be either up or down. Step on Brush Roll
Clean pedal (figure 5) while brush roll is turning until clean.
Stop the cleaning function after 15 seconds to check if the
brush roll is clean. Repeat as needed.
NOTE: Brush Roll Clean feature might not be able to remove
thick threads, wires, or thick carpet fibers caught in the brush
roll. It is recommended to use this function once a week.
How to change Brush Roll.
For top cleaning performance, it is recommended the brush roller is changed when bristles have
worn away after a long period of time.
WARNING: Always switch off the Powerhead, disconnect hose and plug from wall outlet
before servicing the Powerbrush.
1. Turn the Powerbrush upside down.
2. Turn four screws from lock to unlock, clockwise, marked by numbers 1, 2, 3, 4. (figure 6)
3. Lift base plate up to expose brush roll. Remove brush roll and replace with new brush roll.
See local BEAM dealer for new brush roll.
4. Replace the cover by inserting tabs on the front cover into the appropriate slots in the base
of Powerhead. Press down on the front clips and back of base plate until they snap-lock into
place. Turn four screws counterclockwise to lock base plate back into place, securing the
