4 GENERAL SAFETY PROVISIONS FOR THE BATTERY CHARGER

Always read the operating instructions carefully for your own protection and to guarantee perfect function.
Familiarise yourself with the operation and correct use of the charger. Keep the operating instructions for
reference purposes.
These operating instructions belong to the charger and must be handed over to the new owner in the event of
the charger being sold.
The charger may only be used to charge the approved batteries (see chapter "Approved batteries").
Equally, the batteries must not be charged using another charger. You can put yourself at risk or damage your
batteries, charger and garden tool.
Only use your garden tool with the batteries approved for it.
Incorrect use of batteries and charger may result in electric shock or fire.
All safety information regarding the handling, storage, safekeeping, transport, disposal of the
lithium-ion battery and first-aid measures and measures for combating fires is contained in
the "Product safety datasheet" at www.sabo-online.com under Instructions.
For safety reasons and to avoid damage to the charger and battery, the charger may only be used indoors
and in dry rooms. Do not expose the battery or charger to rain or humidity. The battery must not be charged in
direct sunlight.
Only connect the charger to Schuko sockets, which correspond to the input power of the charger (see
chapter"Technical data").
Do not use the charger in an explosive environment.
To prevent damage to cables and plugs, do not pull the cable in the charger. When disconnecting the charger
from the mains, always disconnect by the plug.
Do not use the charger if the plug or cable is damaged. If the plug or cable is damaged, they must be replaced
immediately.
Only use 1 extension cable when extending the cable. Do not connect multiple extension cables together.
The extension cable must have a protective conductor. With mains voltage of 220 to 240 volts, the wires in the
extension cables must have the following cross-section:
Extension cable up to 20 m long: AWG 15 / 1.5 mm²
Extension cable from 20 m to 50 m long: AWG 13 / 2.5 mm²
Do not use the charger if it has experienced a heavy impact, fallen or has otherwise been damaged. If the
charger is damaged, it must be replaced. It cannot be repaired. Do not dismantle the charger or try to repair it.
Before cleaning the charger, remove the battery and remove the plug from the socket. Only clean the charger
