Always preheat the sandwich toaster.

Always smear the outer surface of the bread slices with butter.

We recommend using Cheddar cheeses. Avoid using processed cheeses as these tend to melt too much at high
temperatures.

A teaspoon of sugar sprinkled on the sides smeared with butter will make the bread more crunchy.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Before cleaning:
Turn off.
Remove the plug from the mains socket and allow the sandwich toaster to cool.
Inside: Clean the plates and separators with a damp cloth.
Outside: Clean with a soft cloth that has been wrung almost dry after immersing in hot soapy water. Use another
soft cloth to dry.
Do not use metal or plastic scourers or abrasive pads on the sandwich toaster's inside or outside surfaces.

SANDWICH FILLINGS FOR THE SANDWICH TOASTER

Use brown, wholemeal, white or rye bread of a suitable size for the sandwich toaster.

Lightly smear one side of the bread with margarine or butter.

The fillings described below will make 4-6 sandwiches.
CHEESE FILLINGS
Cheese, tomato and onion
50 g of grated cheese
1 large tomato, sliced and drained
1 onion, sliced and lightly fried
Salt, pepper and oregano
Mix together
Cheese and asparagus
50 g of grated Cheddar
50 g of asparagus, sliced and drained
Salt and pepper
Mix together
Cheese and Biltong
50 g of grated Cheddar or Gouda
150 g of grated Biltong
3 spring onions, sliced
Mix together
