IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• This product has no ON/OFF switching mechanism. A separate control device can be purchased at your
local hardware store that will plug into your wall outlet.

• Do not use with an extension cord near water or where water may accumulate. Keep the product and electric
cord at least 20 feet away from pool and spa. Keep plugs and receptacles dry.
• This portable luminaire has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the
risk of electric shock. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension
cord unless plugs can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.
• Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection is to be provided on the circuit or outlet to be used
for the wet location portable luminaire. Receptacles are available having built-in GFCI protection and are
able to be used for this measure of safety. Use only with an extension cord for outdoor use, such as the
extension cord or cord type SW, SW-A,SOW, SOW-A, STW, STW-A, STOW, STEOW-A, SJW, SJW-A, SJOW,
SJOW-A, SJTW, SJTW-A, or SJTOW, SJTOW-A
• Be sure that the cord is not plugged into an outlet before proceeding with the replacement of the bulb.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE
• Relamp with 15 watts maximum with the type of Self-Ballasted CFL or Self-Ballasted LED Lamp with the
standard UL 1993/NMX-J-578/1-ANCE/CSA C22.2 NO.1993.
RISK OF FIRE
• Use only Self-Ballasted CFL or Self-Ballasted LED Lamp in this luminaire. Incandescent and Halogen lamps
may cause severe thermal damage.
• Do not perforate or modify the product.
• (FOR PLANTER) Do not bury the pot. The drainage pipe underneath the product must always be kept clear
to ensure proper drainage.
