Your Navigator IV can receive FM TMC
(Traffic Message Channel) traffic or MSN
Direct traffic content, depending upon the
traffic receiver connected to your Navigator
IV.
Your Navigator IV displays both types of
traffic content in the same manner.

accuracy of the traffic information.
Traffic
You can only access the traffic information
if your Navigator IV is connected to an
optional FM traffic receiver. For more

Receiving Traffic

To receive traffic information, the following
conditions must be met:
•
The traffic receiver must be connected to
the auto mount.
•
The auto mount must be connected to an
external power source.
•
The traffic receiver and the Navigator IV
must be in data range of an FM station
transmitting traffic information.

Traffic in Your Area
When you are receiving traffic information,
a traffic icon appears in the upper-left corner
of the Map page. The traffic icon changes
color to indicate the severity of traffic
