1 – INTRODUCTION
For your safety and to best use the machine these instructions
need to be read carefully, bearing in mind that:
•
this manual is to be considered an integral part of the
machine and should thus be kept for future reference until
the machine is dismantled;
•
the manual must always be available for the user or
anyone working with the machine;
•
the instructions contained in this manual indicate the exact
use of the machine as envisaged in the designing phase;
It should also be noted that the manufacturer shall not be held
liable for any direct or indirect damages due to improper use of
the machine. Specifically:
•
serious shortcomings routine maintenance;
•
interventions to make modifications not authorised by the
manufacturer;
•
use of non-original and non-specific spare parts for the
machine model in question;
•
complete or total non-compliance with the instructions;
2 – IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
For your safety and to best use the machine these instructions
need to be read carefully, bearing in mind that:
•
before connecting the machine make sure the supply
voltage corresponds to that indicated in the machine
specifications and that the socket is grounded and is
equipped with a Residual Current Device (RCD).
•
Remove the plug only by using its body and not the power
cord. Protect the power cord from sources of heat, steam
and oils.
•
Do not touch the machine with wet hands or feet when it is
plugged in.
•
Never leave the machine unattended when it is plugged in.
If the machine is not being used, it should be unplugged.
•
Do not use the machine in a potentially explosive ambient,
since there is a risk of fire/explosion.
•
Do not let children use the machine or people who are
not familiar with its operation.
•
To clean ovens, refrigerators, lamps, etc., the power cord
should always be unplugged, so they are no longer live.
•
Never use a jet of steam to clean electric or electronic
equipment (computers, televisions, lights, telephones, etc.)
even if they are disconnected from the power supply.
•
Never touch the jet of steam up close with your hands.
Danger of burning!
•
Do not direct the jet of steam at people or animals. Danger
of burning!
•
Do not immerse the machine in water or other liquids.
•
Vacuuming various chemicals, incandescent or corrosive
residue, could give rise to dangerous reactions.
•
Use the machine on flat surfaces only.
•
Keep the vacuum bin drum clean, making sure to empty
and dry it after vacuuming liquids.
•
Do not put detergents, perfumes or other chemical
substances in the water tank that feeds the boiler as
there is a risk of fire/explosion.
•
Only use potable (drinking) water, do not use distilled
water.
•
Remember that steam should not be used (or used with
utmost care) in the following cases:
-
objects or furniture upholstered in leather, alcantara,
synthetic velvets or very delicate fabrics;
-
waxed or painted floors, since the steam could
remove the wax or paint;
-
screen-printed or decorated glass;

-
polished wood surfaces;
-
in direct contact with glue or silicone;
In these cases the manufacturer's instructions for the product to
be cleaned should be consulted.
•
The combination of steam with detergent must only be
used for cleaning items that do not deteriorate in contact
with these substances.
•
To prevent the machine from moving unintentionally the
brake system located on all the swivel casters should be
used.
WARNING: every maintenance operation must
be performed with the machine off and
disconnected.
