The EIB interface - burglar alarm systems permit Gewiss wireless burglar alarm systems
(GW 20 470, GW 20 481) to be connected to the KNX/EIB bus system, providing their
functional integration in the Home/Building Automation system. This integration permits
the burglar alarm system to be turned on and off (fully or partially) through KNX/EIB
devices, or to restrict certain functions controlled by the Home / Building Automation
system to burglar alarm system conditions (on or off). Alarm signals can also be
replicated or displayed via bus devices.
The interface is positioned inside the burglar alarm system control board with which it
dialogues via serial line. Power is taken from the bus for the KNX/EIB circuits and from
the burglar alarm system for the serial line.
The interface can be set using the Easy GW 90 831 (E-mode) base unit or ETS software
(S-mode). Available functions vary according to E-mode or S-mode configuration.
