Major Maintenance, Service and Part Replacement
Have your machine serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the machine is maintained.
To keep your machine operating smoothly, it is essential that all bearings and distributing cone
bushings be lubricated. Cleaning and oiling moving parts is particularly important if the machine
comes in contact with sand, grit and other abrasive material.
Cable Maintenance
To obtain the maximum service from your cables, be sure that they are clean and well oiled. This not
only provides smooth operation but greatly extends the life of the cables as well. Some users
periodically pour oil directly into the drum. As the drum turns, the
cables get complete lubrication.
Cable-Feeder Maintenance (For 22XP35 only)
Keep Cable-Feeder free of excessive soil and grit. It is recommended
that the Cable-Feeder be flushed with fresh water followed by a light
oiling of the moving parts. No disassembly is normally required. If
dirt is hard enough to stop roller rotation and flushing it with water
cannot restore its function, then
disassembly of the Cable Feeder becomes
necessary. Though it is recommended to
have this completed by a trained
technician, one can complete it by
following these steps:
1. Remove the Pivot Pin on the Cable
Feeder Lever and take off the lever.
(Refer Picture Step 1)
2. Remove 2 Holding Screws above the
Cable Feeder Housing in the Lever
Holder (refer Picture Step 2a) and 2
Holding Screws below the Cable
Feeder Housing (refer Picture Step 2b).
Then take off the Cable Feeder
Activator and the Housing Gate.
3. Remove the Switch Pin Screw on the
Sliding Roller Holder and pull off the roller set from above the
Cable Feeder Housing. (Refer Pictures Step 3a and Step 3b)
4. Remove the Switch Pin Screws on the Stationery Roller Holders
and pull off the roller sets from the opening below the Cable
Feeder Housing. (Refer Picture Step 4)
5. Clean all parts in the Cable Feeder.
6. Lubricate all parts with proper lubrication oil, such as SAE
10W-30.
7. Reverse the above steps to re-assemble Cable Feeder.
