Problem
The hands are bent or
damaged.
The hands are not
aligned with the
numbers.
After you have tried all
the solutions already
mentioned, the clock
still does not move
and the gears of the
clockwork gear do
not move even after
inserting the carbon
zinc batteries.
Potential cause
The hands may have
been damaged during
transport.
The handles are not
properly attached or
have slipped during
transport.
The gear of the
movement has been
damaged during
transport.
Possible solution
Bend the clock hands
straight so that they
do not scratch each
other or the frame.
Then turn the red knob
on the movement and
rotate the minute
hand two full turns to
make sure the hands
are correct. Then set
the correct time using
the red button on the
movement.
Remove the cap nut
and the minute hand.
Align the hour hand
with 12. Replace the
minute hand, also align
it with the 12 and then
screw the cap nut back
in place.
