• Avoid contact with mobile parts when
the appliance is switched on.
• Do not let the cable dangle off the edge
of the table or worktop nor let it touch
hot surfaces.
• Never pull on the cable to unplug the
appliance.
• Always unplug the appliance before
cleaning and when not in use.
• Do not let children work the appliance.
• Do not use or place the appliance on or
near hot surfaces (gas burners,
hotplates or ovens).
4. BEFORE USING
FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before using your grinder for the first
time, wash the deposit, deposit lid and
grinder lid in warm soapy water. Dry
thoroughly before replacing.
Clean the grinding compartment with a
damp cloth.
5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• After placing the coffee beans in the
grinding compartment, replace the lid
and ensure that the compartment is
correctly positioned and the lid firmly
shut.
The grinding compartment must be
correctly positioned in order for the
safety switch to work. If it is not correctly
positioned, the appliance will not
function.
The deposit lid should be firmly fitted
during the grinding process to prevent
the ground coffee from being expelled.
• Adjust the intensity of the grinding
process by moving the coarseness
selector to the desired position between
the two extremes: coarse and fine.
• Plug the appliance into the mains socket,
press down and hold the start-stop

button to start the grinding process.
During the grinding process, gently shake
the grinder every once in a while if you
see that the coffee beans are not sliding
down towards the grindstone.
• Once the grinding process is complete,
unplug the appliance, remove the deposit
and gently tap the lid a few times with the
palm of your hand before opening to
loosen the coffee which may have stuck to
the walls.

6. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
The grinding compartment should be
cleaned after each use to avoid the build-up
of old deposits which may spoil the taste of
subsequently ground coffee. To clean the
compartment, first remove by turning in the
direction indicated by the arrow (clockwise)
and pull up. Use a brush to clean the grinder
zone and the outlet which leads to the
deposit (Fig. 2). To replace, line up the fins
with the slots and turn in an anticlockwise
direction until it slots into place (Fig. 3).
Clean the compartment with a damp cloth
and dry thoroughly.
The grinder lid, deposit and deposit lid
should be washed in hot soapy water. Dry
thoroughly before replacing.
This appliance is guaranteed for one year
from time of purchase, against any
manufacturing defect.
The guarantee will be annulled if the
damage has been caused by incorrect use or
handling by anyone other than Fagor
Technical Services personnel.
Whenever guarantee services are requested,
the Guarantee Card must be presented with
the date of purchase and the seller's stamp.
The guarantee holder always has the
statutory rights recognized by law.
The manufacturer reserves the right to
modify the models described in this User's
Manual.
