GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The screw feeders allow the boilers to be positioned far from the external pellet hoppers and to be powered automatically and
continuously for long periods of time.
Basically they serve to automatically transfer pellets from the large capacity external hopper to the hopper on the boiler, depen-
ding on need.
OPERATION
During boiler operation, the level of pellets in the boiler hopper decreases proportionally with respect to the energy demand.
When minimum pellet content is reached, detected by a capacitive probe, the electronic regulator on the external hopper activates
the motor unit which, by moving the flexible spiral, refills the hopper on the boiler by the preset quantity.
CHARACTERISTICS
The screw feeders are composed of modular steel elements, and the thickness of the pipes is 1.5 mm making them sturdy but at
the same time not complicating installation.
The coupling flanges are designed to provide stability, preventing deformations on installations with a long section (300 and 500 cm).
The internal flexible spiral with which the pellets are transported is made of metal and is 3.5mm-thick.
The motor unit on the external hopper consists of a considerably powerful gear motor with treated steel gears and a conveyor pipe.
The screw feeders consist of the following elements (see picture on cover).
A - straight element that draws directly from the external hopper
B - curve that permits conveying the pellets horizontally
C/D - straight modular elements (length: 100cm and 150cm)
- flexible spiral
Q - gear motor unit (230 V - 50 Hz - 100 W - with thermal safety)
USE
Using the above elements connections that are 150-300-500 cm in length, can be made allowing the boiler to be placed up to 5m
from the hopper.
It is also possible to install the boiler and external hopper in separate rooms.
To provide stability to the system it is fixed to the ceiling with special steel collars and cables (pic. step 7/8 on pgs. 12-13)
Extensions with specific fittings for electrical connection to the regulator are available for the capacitive probe (pic. x) and the mo-
tor unit (pic. y).

NOTE: THE PRODUCT MUST BE INSALLTED IN A COVERED AREA WHICH IS FREE OF HUMIDITY IN OR-
DER TO PREVENT PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT AND TO ENSURE THE INTEGRITY OF
THE PELLETS
